The public utility company “Gradska čistoća” from Novi Pazar will use a multifunctional machine for the maintenance of public green areas to process wood and organic waste from farms and produce woodchips, which will be used as fuel for the city’s biomass heating plant. This way, both the use of fossil fuels for heating and air pollution in Novi Pazar will be reduced. The PUC will also train members of vulnerable groups to work with the new woodchipping, which will provide them the opportunity for employment in new, green jobs.
