This initiative enables a reduction in natural gas consumption through the installation of new burners for efficient combustion of the natural gas-air mixture and the introduction of control and monitoring systems to monitor all parameters of the furnace operation. This will lead to a 35% reduction in the natural gas consumption of the annealing furnace, a 5% reduction in the electricity consumption of the furnace and a 35% reduction in the furnace’s CO₂ emissions. The results of the conducted study and the proposed methodology could serve as a model for other similar companies.
