The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Niš and the company “ALFA KLIMA” are developing the “Energy Cube” – a modular, mobile system with net-zero energy consumption that will provide electricity, heating and cooling by converting solar energy. This solution will integrate photovoltaic solar panels, an air-to-water heat pump and electricity and heat storage. This system can be used for net-zero energy homes, local decentralised power generation systems, operating theatres, greenhouses, nurseries, container facilities and facilities in remote locations.
