“DigitaLLeather” is developing software and hardware to improve leather goods manufacturing; it will automate discovering flaws in the leather with the aid of artificial intelligence, i.e. a machine learning system. This solution will enable a more precise and efficient discovery of flaws, which will enhance the usability of the leather. This will in turn lead to a reduction of industrial waste and improve working conditions in production lines. The solution was conceived for the automobile industry, but it has potential for application in other industries as well.
